Language exchanges and full emersion travel in a foreign culture present a unique opportunity to expand on one’s knowledge of a second language. A travel experience focused on language learning offers an unforgettable adventure that can solidify use of a second language through real-life application and challenges. At Boston Spanish Bridge, our goal is to expand upon language learning through well-structured workshops focused on the history, culture, cuisine and adventure activities of the foreign country being visited.
All of our exchange programs are small in size to guarantee that our participants benefit from a personalized, high-quality service. Multiple bilingual members of our team will accompany any language exchanges, assisting with the daily activities and organization of the trip. We will organize the lodging, travel arrangements, language classes and cultural activities for all participants, catering each program to particular interests and needs.
Youth Travel in Spain
We are currently designing programs for children and teens interested in visiting the northern part of Spain to learn about the rich culture of the region. Accommodations will be arranged through exchanges with local families and classes will be provided in-house by Boston Spanish Bridge at a local academy.
Activities will include 3hrs of language classes per day, guided historical tours of the city, afternoon excursions to the surrounding countryside, attendance of regional sporting events and extended weekend travel exploration. For weekend trips Boston Spanish Bridge will provide all travel and lodging arrangements. Our language learning programs offer a memorable and enjoyable experience.
Youth Travel in Boston
This summer program is designed for teens and young adults from Spain who are interested in expanding upon their knowledge of English through a personalized travel experience to Boston and the greater New England region. The length of the program can be personalized to offer students sufficient time to immerse themselves in the local culture and lifestyle. All lodging, courses and travel arrangements will be provided by Boston Spanish Bridge.
This program will offer students a blend of languages classes, personalized English tutoring and daily camp activities in order to create a well-rounded learning experience. As students will stay overnight in our accommodations, their integration and enjoyment of the program can be monitored by our staff. Weekend excursions to a number of exciting destinations such as the White Mountains, Cape Cod, Boston Harbor and the Maine Coast offer unforgettable memories of the region.
Wine Tasting in Spain
The highly touted wine regions of Spain, such as la Rioja, Galicia and Castilla Leon, provide a vast number of culinary and cultural treasures that can be discovered through our personalized tours of Spain. The prolific architectural influences of the country coupled with a rich historical past, paint a perfect backdrop on which we can base our cultural travels. All accommodations will be organized by Boston Spanish Bridge and stay will be arranged in renovated castles, many of which have played an influential role in Spanish history.
Members of our Boston Spanish Bridge team will organize the trip and accompany you in your travels to guarantee that your experience in Spain will be unforgettable. Activities during the trip include guided tours of the old town for each city on the itinerary, excursions to local vineyards, wine tasting, golf outings, nature walks, theatre performances and food reviews with local experts. Many other activities such as language classes, cooking classes or special excursions can be arranged upon request.
Cultural Travel in Spain
Spain is a rich and exciting country whose regions define its diverse cultural past. The history, cuisine, festivals and architecture have been forged from Roman, Arabic and Catholic traditions blended together over the last two thousand years. It is our passion and great pride to accompany you in an adventure through several of Spain’s prominent regions presenting the great diversity that marks this small peninsula.
The program lasts for one to two weeks and will extend from the arid southern part of Andalucía to the northern mountainous regions of the Pyranees and Picos de Europa. Travel and accommodations will be arranged by Boston Spanish Bridge in prestigious castles along the route. Local cuisine will be included with dinner and breakfast offering the unique opportunity to wine and dine in the same settings as the kings of Spain.
Adventure Travel in Spain
If you prefer less formal vacations and are closer attune with nature, Spain should not be overlooked as a fascinating destination. The Northern provinces along the Cantabria Sea present some of the most spectacular scenery and natural settings in all of Europe. The wonderful juxtaposition of jagged “Picos de Europa” mountains alongside a bright green coastline makes the perfect setting for any outdoor adventure.
Several natural parks and reserves line the northern stretch of Spain from the Pyrenees to the tip of Galicia where plenty of outdoor excitement can be found: canoeing, hiking, surfing, cycling, windsurfing, kite boarding and more.
